Because of expected ice storm on Sunday January 9, only 8:30 worship will take place onsite.

 Redland Youth Ministry

About RYM

Redland Youth Ministries are a part of Redland Baptist Church in Derwood, MD.  Students Grades 6-12 meet on Sunday mornings year round (9:40am Small Group Bible Study).  Throughout the school year, they also meet for “Fuel” every Sunday (5:00pm) and Wednesdays for Waves of Grace (choir at 6:30pm, handbells at 7:30pm).  All of this is to help teens develop a strong relationship with God and with each other.  During the summer, we have a whole different host of activities, including service projects (usually offering more than 100 service learning hours a summer!), teen camp, mission trips, unforgettable activities, and poolside Bible studies.
Our teachers and volunteers are committed to developing students’ love for God and His people.  Teachers and volunteers must pass a background check in order to work with our youth.

My name is Kevin Freeman, and I am the minister of youth here at Redland.  I hope that this site can be of service to you, whether you are a parent, a student, or someone who just cares about students.  Feel free to get in touch with me by clicking here.  I would love to hear from you.
If this is your first time here then welcome to Redland’s youth ministry hub!  Here is what you can expect to find here:
  • Updates for parents. I will occasionally post here to give a youth ministry update, add some news, or provide a resource that will help parents.
  • Updates for students. This will be a great place for youth to get info as well.  There will be some fun stuff, resources, and even devotionals that go with a recent lesson.
  • Permission slips. Just click the “forms and files” page for the latest permission slips, flyers, and letters.
  • Calendar. This is yet another place where you can find youth ministry calendar items.  Also available on the calendar page.
I also encourage you to join our youth email list for regular updates.  That’s about it.  If you have any suggestions or questions, again, I’d love to hear from you!
