Redland's Leadership

Pastors & Staff

Kevin Freeman

Acting Pastor, Associate Pastor for Discipleship, Youth, and Families

Kevin is a Maryland native who grew up near Baltimore before coming to Redland with his wife, Karen.  They have a bustling family of ten that has grown over the years through foster care, adoption, and good old-fashioned childbirth.  Kevin is a graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and has served at Redland since 2009.  He oversees the youth ministry, family ministry,  and adult discipleship.  He loves seeing people become excited about pursuing their relationship with Christ.  When he's not wrestling through the Bible or wrangling children, Kevin has been known to make barbecue sauce; he even bottled his own line of sauces!

Bill Archer

Minister of Worship and Administration

Originally from Richmond Virginia, Bill has served on staff at Redland since 2009. Bill met his wife Ava while the were both music students at the University of Maryland, College Park. Married 42 years, they have three grown children and two precious granddaughters. Bill and Ava are both graduates of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Ava is an elementary school music teacher with Montgomery County Public Schools. With a passion for helping people in their walk with and worship of the Lord, Bill gives leadership to the very wide-ranging worship ministry and administration needs of the congregation. Bill is a trombone player, dog lover, a fairly decent cook, and enjoys sports.

In 1997 he became Senior Pastor.  His desire is "to equip God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." (Ephesians 4:16-18).  Pastor Mark retired on April 16, 2023 and now holds the honorary title of Pastor Emeritus. Mark loves to thrift shop with Sue, run and read---and to play with his grandkids.
