Fruit of the Spirit: Self-Control
with Kevin Freeman
Remember the Stanford Marshmallow Test? Children were placed in a room and had to exercise self-control, waiting to eat the marshmallow so that they would receive a second one later. Researchers have developed a new twist! Children have partners, and they know that eating an Oreo means they and their partner both lose out on a second cookie. The results of this study reveal that we are best equipped to exercise self-control when we face a challenge together.
