A Word from Your Pastor Search Committee

The Pastor Search Committee (PSC) has spent the past month prayerfully and diligently evaluating our candidates. We have carefully reviewed their written responses to our questionnaire, watched multiple sermons, and contacted references for those we are prayerfully considering. Throughout this process, we’ve continued to communicate with the candidates—answering their questions and sharing information about Redland to help them better understand our church family.
This coming Sunday and Monday evening, we will hold a series of Zoom interviews with our top candidates, involving the full committee. Many members of the committee also participated in the recent Friday/Saturday Spiritual Leadership Retreat with Rick Fisher of Blackaby Ministries, where we were both encouraged and challenged by his teaching on becoming effective spiritual leaders.
As we move forward, we are inviting the entire church to join us in eight weeks of corporate prayer for the pastor search process. Each week, you will receive a prayer card with a specific focus for that week. We encourage you to place the card somewhere visible and take time daily to pray over it. Together, we ask God for wisdom and discernment as we seek His will for our next pastor.
Additionally, we invite the congregation to join us for a special time of prayer and a town hall meeting on Wednesday, June 18 at 6:00pm in the Sanctuary. By then, we will have completed our first round of interviews with the top candidates. We ask you to be in prayer leading up to that evening and come prepared to share what God may be laying on your heart. Our hope is to seek God’s direction—whether it is to continue pursuing one of these godly, well-qualified candidates or to wait for another path He may be preparing.
Let us unite in faith, trusting that God is already preparing the right shepherd for Redland. Thank you for praying with us and for your continued support throughout this process.
