Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child (OCC)

Samaritan’s Purse’s OCC ministry is bringing shoebox gifts and the Good News of Jesus Christ to some of the most remote corners of the globe! You can help send shoebox gifts to these hard-to-reach areas of the world. Here are several ways how:

Redland is collecting supplies to fill shoebox gifts in the Foyer through October 24. Here are some suggested items:

• A medium to large “wow” item to capture a child’s attention (doll or soccer ball with pump)
• Toys (jump rope, marbles, toy car, harmonica)
• School supplies (pencils, erasers, colored pencils, pens, pencil sharpener, solar calculator)
• Non-liquid hygiene items (soap with holder, toothbrush with holder, comb, band-aids)
• Accessories (t-shirt, socks, hair clips/bands, flashlight, sunglasses)
• Crafts
• A personal note

Join us in the Chapel on Tuesday, October 26 at 7pm for a shoebox gift packing party! The goal is to pack 300 shoeboxes! Please RSVP to Nancy Faulconer.

Redland is again a Collection Center for OCC National Collection Week, November 15-22. This is the week to drop off your completed shoebox gift and pay the $9 donation (if you have not done so already). Your $9 donation covers collection, processing, shipping, training, Gospel tracts, and other project costs.
