PSC Update for August 24, 2025

The Pastor Search Committee has been pursuing one candidate for the last month. We are thrilled to announce that we unanimously feel God is leading us to recommend him to the church as our next Pastor. The PSC is planning many events during the week of September 7-14, 2025 to allow members of the church to get to know the candidate so that members will be able to vote with confidence on September 14, 2025.

Friday, September 5, 12noon – Saturday, September 6, 12noon: 24-hour Prayer Vigil.

Sunday, September 7

• 10:45-11:45am: The PSC will make a presentation to the entire congregation in the Sanctuary. There will be NO Grace Groups this Sunday. (Candidate not present)
• 4:00pm: Question & Answer time with the PSC in the Sanctuary (Candidate not present)

Monday, September 8

• 9:00am-12noon: 20-minute private sessions by Appointment with the Candidate and PSC member (contact the church office; 301-977-1000 or [email protected]).
• 7:00-8:30pm: Candidate Meet & Greet with the Church Council, Ministry Leaders and Grace Group teachers in the Sanctuary.

Tuesday, September 9

• 1:00-2:30pm: Candidate Meet & Greet with the Church Staff in the Office.
• 7:00pm: Candidate Meet & Greet with Deacons (active and inactive deacons are invited) in room D215/216.

Wednesday, September 10

• 5:30pm: Candidate and family will be at the regular Fellowship Meal in the ROC. Make reservations online (https://redlandbaptist.org/wedfellowshipmeal).
• 6:30pm: Candidate Meet & Greet with Youth in the Sanctuary.
• 7:30pm: Candidate Meet & Greet with Music Ministry in the Sanctuary.

Thursday, September 11

• 9:00am-12noon: 20-minute private sessions by Appointment with the Candidate and PSC member (contact the church office; 301-977-1000 or [email protected]).
• 7:00pm: Candidate Meet & Greet with Parents in the Sanctuary.
• 8:00pm: Candidate Meet & Greet with Young Adults and Singles in the Sanctuary.

Friday, September 12

• 10:30am: Candidate Meet & Greet with Prime Time Adults in the ROC Foyer.

Saturday, September 13

• 10:00am-12noon: Ladies Brunch with Candidate’s Wife at Laraine Brady’s home. Drop-in, no reservation required.

Sunday, September 14

• 9:30am: Candidate Preaches in view of a call
• A Special Business Meeting will be called following worship and the church will vote.

If the church votes to call the candidate, it appears that he would start during the week of October 12 and have his first Sunday be October 19.

We need you to pray for the PSC members and the Candidate and his family specifically. Please pray for a hedge of protection around the PSC members, the Candidate and his family. Please also pray for yourself and the entire church body at Redland. For wisdom, unity and oneness of spirit, to be ready to receive the person God sends to us, and that God will make us one in Him.
